About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in the Children in Care service. As a Child Protection Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting children through the adoption process.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. You will be working in a small team consisting of 2 Social Workers, a Social Worker Assistant, and a Team Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of asset and strengths-based approaches to social work and be able to build strong relationships with children and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building a relationship with a child whose plan is adoption
  • Looked after children work such as visits, reviews, medicals etc.
  • Working with foster carers through transitions
  • Placement finding with Adoption West
  • Supporting adoptive placements
  • Completing panel paperwork
  • Court work for the adoption order

Salary: £35,235 - £37,938 per annum
