CV-Library is excited to offer a permanent Teaching Assistant position at a reputable primary school in Sevenoaks.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the teacher in delivering high-quality education and creating a positive learning environment for Year 1 students.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the teacher in planning and implementing KS1 curriculum activities, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education.
  2. Monitor student progress, record observations, and provide constructive feedback to the teacher to inform instruction.
  3. Work collaboratively with small groups or individual students to address specific learning needs and promote academic success.
  4. Maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with challenging behavior and create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  5. Promote an atmosphere that encourages all students to participate in learning and extracurricular activities.
  6. Adhere to school policies and legal requirements to ensure the welfare and safety of students.

Requirements:

  1. Certified Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 minimum).
  2. Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and ability to develop engaging lessons.
  3. Previous experience working with children is essential, preferably in a primary school setting.
  4. An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply.
