Academic Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in their academic journey. The role offers a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a competitive daily rate of £8.33.

Position: Academic Support Assistant

This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of primary-aged children with ASD. As an Academic Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential by providing individualized support and guidance.

  • You will be responsible for monitoring and recording student progress, identifying areas where additional support is needed, and developing strategies to address these gaps.
  • You will build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring that everyone involved in the child's education feels supported and valued.
  • A good understanding of ASD and experience working with children with diverse needs is essential for this role. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive.
  • No specific qualifications are required as we provide ongoing training and preparation for work as a TA. However, a passion for education and a commitment to supporting students with special needs is crucial.
  • You will have access to over 2,500 certified CPD courses via the National College, promoting ongoing professional development and enabling you to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
  • The estimated salary for this position is £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
