Support Worker - Home Care

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers - Support at Home in Inverness.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional assistance to individuals in their own homes.

  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and medication support.
  • Support individuals with household tasks, and meal preparation.
  • Encourage and promote independence, enabling individuals to maintain their hobbies and interests.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure all care documentation is accurate and up to date.
Requirements

To be a successful Support Worker, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a similar care setting, preferably within a healthcare or social care setting.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of person-centred care principles and a commitment to upholding dignity and autonomy.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is required within 3 months of starting the role.
