Job Title: Estimator

About Us: Fresh Horticultural Careers is a leading provider of landscape and construction services, dedicated to delivering high-quality projects to our clients.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, responsible for preparing cost budgets and estimates for new projects and tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates and cost budgets for new projects and tenders
  • Update existing tenders, making amendments and creating new estimates as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, seeking out new opportunities for the business
  • Collaborate with construction managers and the design team to help with development, innovation, and creativity on client projects
  • Submit reports and liaise with other teams in the company to help with business development and profitability
  • Ensure client satisfaction is at the heart of your role, regularly checking in with clients to maintain a high level of satisfaction throughout the process

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with hard and soft landscape construction
  • At least 2 years of experience in estimating or quantity surveying in a commercial landscape, residential design and build landscape, or working for a close competitor
  • Excellent understanding of finance and management
  • Strong communication skills to deal with clients and approach them with a sales-based attitude
  • Commercial experience in dealing with legal contracts and main contractors, as well as valuations, variations, and insurances
  • Education to Degree / OND / HND or similar in construction, quantity surveying, landscape construction, or horticulture
