Job Title: Apprentice Finance Specialist

This role offers the opportunity to develop a career in accountancy and finance with a reputable company in Chesterfield. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced staff and gain hands-on experience in financial management.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be enrolled onto a Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant apprenticeship, which includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding legislation surrounding tax
  2. Dealing with queries from clients and HMRC
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a selection of our clients
  4. Bank reconciliations
  5. Building working relationships with our clients
  6. Monitoring client compliance
  7. Supporting the bookkeeping and accounts department to gather information from clients in a timely manner
  8. Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure

Skills and Qualifications:

  • GCSE in English (grade 9 to 4 (A* to C))
  • GCSE in Maths (grade 9 to 4 (A* to C))

Training Plan:

You will complete a Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship, equivalent to GCSE level. The course contents include record transactional data, using finance and accounting software packages, handling data securely, and communicating with stakeholders.

Salary: £12,480 per year
