Job Title: Experienced SEND LSA

We are seeking an experienced SEND LSA to join our team at Academics Ltd in Southend-on-Sea. The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children with autism and special educational needs and will be responsible for supporting a non-verbal child with autism in our school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a child with non-verbal autism in the classroom on a one-to-one basis.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
  • Support with communication strategies and help the child engage in learning activities.
  • Promote the child's social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to ensure the child's needs are met.
  • Build positive relationships with the child, their family, and the school team.

Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with autism and special educational needs. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with SEND. A proactive and flexible approach to work. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent are desirable.
