PsiCon Ltd is seeking a specialist Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team.

About the Role:

As a specialist Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive autism assessments for children and adolescents aged 5-18.

  • You will conduct developmental histories to evaluate children undergoing autism assessments.
  • Observe the child/young person during sessions and ensure questions are asked in an age-appropriate manner.
  • Review ADOS reports, developmental history, and relevant collateral information from home and school in the same session.
  • Formulate a diagnosis, conclude the assessment, and provide feedback to the family in a kind and compassionate manner.
  • Collaborate with the MDT in cases where further information is required.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment.
  • Request onward referrals as clinically necessary.
