**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Specialist to join our team at our Teesside site. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our power plant and ancillary equipment. Your expertise in mechanical maintenance will be instrumental in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, developing maintenance plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Carry out preventative maintenance activities for the maintenance team, including routine checks and inputting data into our maintenance management system.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans in collaboration with the maintenance supervisor, ensuring timely completion of OEM maintenance plans.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the direct line manager, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Monitor plant equipment and ensure the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure the implementation of regular PMs as per schedule during respective shifts.

**Requirements**

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a power plant or industrial setting.
  • Formal mechanical maintenance background, with a strong understanding of mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and steam systems.
  • Experience working with steam and gas turbines is desirable, as is boiler/steam experience.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance systems, such as SAP or MAXIMO, is essential.
  • Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of SHE and plant engineering regulations.
