Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician with a Mechanical focus to join our team at our Teesside site. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our power plant and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Monitor plant equipment and implement preventive and corrective maintenance activities as needed.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any issues or concerns to your direct line manager and communicate with the maintenance team to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a power plant or industrial setting.
  • Education: Formal mechanical maintenance background, with a focus on heavy engineering and heavy manufacturing plant experience.
  • Skills: Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with experience working with steam and gas turbines desirable.
  • Software: Familiarity with maintenance management systems, such as SAP or MAXIMO.
  • Certifications: Formal electrical, mechanical, or instrument apprenticeship/training, with a focus on SHE and plant engineering regulations (IOSH, NEBOSH, CoMAH).
