We are seeking a Support Professional to join our team in Ty Mynydd, Neath. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting autistic people and will be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the individuals we support.
The role involves helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals, supporting and transporting them to integrate into their community, and developing their home making skills and personal chores.
We need someone who is resilient, supportive, and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting vulnerable people in a residential setting and will be able to commit to the values of our organization.
The successful candidate will also have a driving licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle. A criminal background check will be required, and possession of an Enhanced DBS Check would be preferable.
We offer a range of benefits, including excellent training and development opportunities, career progression, and a competitive salary.
As a Support Professional with the National Autistic Society, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of autistic people. You will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and innovative team, and to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and inclusive environment.
We are committed to providing person-centred care, and our support is designed to enable individuals to live the life they choose. We use individual evidence-based, outcome-focused assessments to ensure that our support is tailored to the needs of each person.
If you are passionate about supporting autistic people and are looking for a rewarding career, we would love to hear from you.
We are the UK's leading charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. We provide support, guidance, and advice, as well as campaigning for improved rights, services, and opportunities to help create a society that works for autistic people.
We transform lives by providing support, guidance, and practical advice for the 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK, as well as their three million family members and carers. Autistic people turn to us at key moments or challenging times in their lives, be it getting a diagnosis, going to school or finding work.
We change attitudes by improving public understanding of autism and the difficulties many autistic people face. We also work closely with businesses, local authorities, and government to help them provide more autism-friendly spaces, deliver better services, and improve laws.
Why choose us? We have autism expertise and knowledge, highly skilled and innovative teams, person-centred care, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of autistic people.
We have come a long way, but there is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation, and build a brighter future for people on the spectrum. With your help, we can make it happen.
You'll be joining our team, both locally and nationally, and we'll support you every step of the way.
