Job Role: Housing Support Worker

Vetro Recruitment is recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to work with a large housing organisation in Port Talbot. As a Housing Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing social, emotional, and practical support to individuals experiencing challenges with their mental health and well-being.

About the Role:

  • Provide support to individuals in achieving their goals and improving their well-being
  • Work in a variety of settings, including supported housing and outreach programs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in the design and development of services, ensuring they meet the needs of service users
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective delivery of services

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, and relationship-based approaches
  • Experience working in the mental health sector, social care sector, or supporting individuals experiencing emotional distress
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding for adults and self-awareness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
