We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Director to lead our team in Thetford.

  • This is a NIGHTS role with a 4on 4off shift pattern.

The rate of pay is: £24.05 per hour (+10% night shift allowance £26.46)

Main Responsibilities:

As a Production Manager, you will oversee the prep, frying and packing area of the site, ensuring customer standards are met, quality standards are maintained and yield targets are achieved.

You will also be responsible for engaging departmental employees with customer standards, the team and site, and prioritizing H&S standards and proactive improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and monitoring daily/weekly labour & equipment requirements, identifying shortfalls/overages and developing an appropriate response to increase productivity and/or make cost savings.
  • Monitoring the ongoing progress of the operation, liaising with supervisors and other departments as necessary to alleviate problem areas & resolve production problems.
  • Ensuring the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and actively promoting hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any un-safe working practice & taking appropriate action to remedy.
  • Achieving planned production, liaising daily with management across site to establish plans and implement them effectively.
  • Reviewing & developing direct reports & team to improve their performance against standards & targets, ensuring site and all shift personnel are equipped to deliver against all expectations.
Ideal Candidate:

Experience within the food industry, preferably chilled / high-risk products at a Management level.

Strong people management, leadership & coaching skills, with the ability to motivate, engage and develop a team.

Experience in delivering production plans within a fast-moving environment.

Effective communicator across all levels with a flexible attitude & approach.
