Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx - Education Recruitment. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with a range of needs, including Social, Communication and Interaction delay/difficulties, Autism, Speech and Language delay, Sensory processing difficulties, Physical self-help difficulties, Cognition and learning delay, and Global Delay.
  • Work closely with teachers and other teaching assistants to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive support for children.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and new developments in special education.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working with children with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
