Role Overview

Fleet Tutors is a leading provider of alternative education, seeking an experienced English Tutor to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners across the UK.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to deliver one-to-one tuition to students with diverse needs. As a Fleet Tutor, you will have the flexibility to choose your working hours and work directly with students in their own homes or schools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver personalised lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance academic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure learner success.
  • Maintain accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.
  • Work with learners who present with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and complex learning requirements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners with diverse needs.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £15-25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. As a Fleet Tutor, you will also receive:
