Senior Safety Manager Job Description

No7 Beauty Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Manager to lead our safety team and ensure the safety of our products throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a robust safety quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Lead a team of safety experts to assess the safety of products during innovation and new product development (NPD) and throughout their lifecycle.
  3. Build scientific expertise in safety fields and technologies to drive continuous improvement of products and protect the brand and business.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, formulation, brand, claims, regulatory, quality, global sourcing, and legal teams.
  5. Train technical and commercial teams on basic safety knowledge to ensure awareness of the importance of safety for customer protection.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and experience that meet the regulatory requirements for a Safety Assessor.
  • Higher qualification in one of the following disciplines: Pharmacy, Toxicology, Medicine, Dermatology.
  • At least 5 years' experience of safety assessment in FMCG, the chemistry industry, with cosmetics experience being an advantage.
  • Outstanding technical capabilities and ability to represent No7 Beauty Company externally within scientific committees.
