About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the shaping of governance processes and priorities at the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Governance in setting and embedding robust governance standards, supporting the development of high-quality governance processes, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing policies, procedures, and processes to ensure effective governance and compliance.
  • Monitoring emerging governance requirements and best practices to inform organisational improvements.
  • Undertaking research to support informed decision-making and efficient governance operations.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of governance regulatory frameworks and their impact on organisational functions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills, including presentation and report writing.
  • Flexible working arrangements and willingness to travel as required.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 5 days' paid annual leave (increasing with service), options to carry over or buy/sell annual leave, Civil Service pension, and more.
