About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safeguarding Officer to join our team at Sandwell College. As a Safeguarding Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

You will be responsible for responding to safeguarding concerns, student disclosures, and reporting incidents. You will also support staff and managers on safeguarding issues, working in line with our college Safeguarding Policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and student disclosures
  • Report incidents and collect information relating to external and internal incidents
  • Support staff and managers on safeguarding issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be educated to level 3 in child safeguarding or have a commitment to complete within a specified timescale. You must also be able to demonstrate strength of character, being an excellent team player and able to work well under pressure.

You will need excellent time management skills and be able to work independently using your own initiative.
