This is an exciting opportunity for a Hospital Pharmacy Technician Leader to join the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in leading the procurement service, ensuring medicines are always available for patients at UHDB.

With a strong background in hospital pharmacy practice and a deep understanding of NHS Trust procedures and priorities, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, maintaining weekly shortage reports, and supporting the Chief Pharmacy Technician in day-to-day management. Your leadership skills and ability to motivate the pharmacy team will be essential in this role.

As a Hospital Pharmacy Technician Leader, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, working closely with the procurement administrator to review outstanding orders from suppliers. You will also support the development of unlicensed medicine policies and procedures, creating specification sheets for unlicensed medicines.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to act as a role model for pharmacy technicians and support staff. A flexible approach and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances will be crucial in this fast-paced environment.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
