Job Description

The Pharmacy Procurement Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to join the Wales Medicines Strategy Group as a Pharmacy Technician. This position plays a vital role in ensuring medicines are always available for our patients at UHDB. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the pharmacy procurement services, managing stock control, and supporting the Chief Pharmacy Technician in the day-to-day management of the service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review outstanding orders from suppliers and arrange alternative products when necessary.
  • Assist with recruitment, annual leave allocation, and appraisal of delegated staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and support effective stock control through appropriate procurement.
  • Support the review of drug alerts and unlicensed policy development.
