About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Scientific Facilities Manager to join our team at Unilever in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a full-time temporary role that requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities and providing support to our laboratory users.

The compensation for this position is competitive, paying up to £24,949 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory facilities
  2. Coordinate the maintenance of lab equipment and ensure it is fit for purpose
  3. Deliver materials picklists and ancillaries to laboratories as required
  4. Provide training to new laboratory users on LIMS and other relevant systems
  5. Offer front-line support to laboratory users regarding ways of working and facilities setup
  6. Collate and monitor all items that will be required as 'stock items' to be managed via 3rd party service contract suppliers
Requirements
  • Experience in laboratory/scientific facilities coordination or pilot plant management
  • Familiarity with management software programs, including LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and project tracking abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft tools (Excel, Word)
