We are seeking dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistants to work in our partnership schools in Cambridgeshire. This opportunity offers flexibility, encompassing both day-to-day and long-term positions, and potential temporary to permanent roles within primary schools.

We have full-time and part-time positions available now and in the upcoming academic term.

About the Role

  • To assist the teacher in providing a range of stimulating activities for children in a class and/or group.
  • To prepare classrooms for lessons, including setting out and tidying away equipment and materials required in the programme at the beginning and end of each day.
  • To supervise children during break and lunch times, ensuring a happy and safe environment.
  • To support children in learning through play, observing, interacting, and playing alongside them.
  • To provide additional support in the development of speaking and listening, reading, writing, and Maths skills.
  • To promote the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of all children.
  • To attend staff meetings and year group meetings to share information about children's progress and the planning of activities.
  • To participate in relevant courses and in-service training for career enhancement.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Adaptability to work in day-to-day supply or commit to long-term positions.
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
  • Previous experience within a primary school or a relevant Teaching Assistant course.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously and undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks, as well as Enhanced DBS checks.

Pay: £85 - £120 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
