Join Our Team as a Veterinary Technician in Ophthalmology

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team in Ophthalmology at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Technician in Ophthalmology, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic diseases in companion animals. You will work closely with our experienced veterinarians and other support staff to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic and advanced ophthalmic diagnostic tests, including tear quantity, glaucoma testing, and ulcer testing.
  • Assist with procedures and surgeries, including diamond burr debridement, CO2 laser, and surgical procedures such as eyelid surgeries, cherry eye surgery, corneal grafts, cataract surgery, retinal surgery, and glaucoma surgery.
  • Administer drugs and place IV catheters and fluids for patients undergoing sedation or anesthesia.
  • Help organize and maintain specialized ophthalmic equipment and supplies.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to clients and their pets.
