Join Our Team as a Part-Time Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an extraordinary Part-Time Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician to join our team at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA.

About the Role
  • As a Part-Time Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for treating and monitoring patients, as well as supporting the clinician with patient care and client communication.
  • You will perform physical exams, accurately count vital signs, and understand normal lab parameters.
  • You will also perform phlebotomy, place IV catheters, and administer chemotherapy agents.
  • You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional patient care and client service.
Responsibilities
  • Perform physical exams and accurately count vital signs.
  • Understand normal lab parameters and alert the doctor when abnormal.
  • Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
  • Administer chemotherapy agents and ensure proper dosages.
  • Work closely with the clinician to provide exceptional patient care and client service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to hospital protocols.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a specialty veterinary hospital.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy agents and protocols.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
