We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Support Specialist to join our team at GSL Education in Totton. The successful candidate will work with children aged 4 months to 4 years, providing guidance and support for their academic and personal growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles and be committed to creating a safe and stimulating environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students, engaging them in various activities that promote learning through play and interaction.
  • Work closely with parents/carers to build strong relationships and ensure effective communication about students' progress.
  • Document and track students' advancements, sharing observations with colleagues and parents as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet individual student needs.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers.
  • An up-to-date DBS registration or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
