Clinical Trials Pharmacist Manager Role
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Clinical Trials Pharmacist Manager to join their team. This role involves overseeing the safe running of clinical trials within the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines and national regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive post-qualification NHS experience, managerial/supervisory experience, and training experience.

About the Job
We are a busy district general hospital providing acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services, and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe dispensing and operation of clinical trials in the pharmacy department. They will also train staff, including new starters, in the safe dispensing and operation of clinical trials.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services. They must also have completed an accredited accuracy checking program, attended GCP training, and have training and experience in the effective management of clinical trials. Experience of training staff, procedure writing, and a thorough understanding of policies and procedures are essential.
