We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Kier Group, a leading construction and infrastructure services company. This industrial placement offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering and project management.

The role involves assisting in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems. You'll work closely with our experienced engineers to prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports. Site visits will also be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

This placement is ideal for students undertaking a degree in Mechanical Engineering, with the option or requirement to complete a placement year from 2025 - 2026. You'll have the opportunity to develop technical and professional skills, build professional relationships, and gain insights into your chosen industry.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the design and development of mechanical systems for projects.
  • Supporting the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
