Buckingham Futures is seeking a Water Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our environmental protection team, you will be responsible for overseeing the discharge of the authority's duties concerning the quality of recreational and drinking water. This includes developing, implementing, and managing routine water sampling protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Water Sampling Protocols: Create and manage routine water sampling protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  2. Investigate Statutory Nuisances: Investigate complaints related to statutory nuisances, taking decisive action to prevent their recurrence, including preparing and issuing statutory notices.
  3. Provide Specialist Advice: Provide specialist advice on water quality, contamination, and environmental protection to other Council departments.
  4. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal requirements for environmental protection by adopting a proactive enforcement approach.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience in environmental protection/pollution control, with a focus on water quality, within a local authority. A Diploma/Degree in Environmental Health is also required, along with registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or a relevant science degree. The salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
