Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Blue Oak Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and a strong background in financial reporting, variance analysis, and cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis between actual performance and budget/forecast, identifying key drivers of variances.
  • Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Oversee inventory valuation and management, ensuring accurate reporting and minimizing excess stock levels.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, cost savings, and financial performance.
  • Work closely with production, supply chain, and other departments to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified CIMA or finalist with experience gained in a manufacturing environment and a strong background in variance analysis, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Highly developed IT skills are a must, and the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues is crucial to success.
