About the Role

The Department for Work and Pensions is seeking a highly skilled Security Risk Analyst to join our Digital Security Risk Management team. As a Security Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in helping us manage and mitigate cyber security risks across our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support risk management processes, issues, and dependencies for DSRM deliverables.
  • Establish collaborative working across organisational boundaries, ensuring quality work is delivered at pace.
  • Be involved with change and governance on behalf of the wider team in association with influencing security standards and governance boards.
  • Communicate across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, tailoring messages to ensure that it is right for the audience.

Requirements

  • Undertakes basic risk assessments with supervision and direction. Supports some complex risk analysis as part of a team.
  • Understand the strategic drivers being delivered by Digital Security Risk Management (DSRM) ensuring new requests and asks are pitched at the appropriate level.
  • Work with others to identify areas for improvement and simplify processes to use fewer resources.
  • Empower others to make decisions where appropriate, analysing and using a range of relevant, credible information from internal and external sources to support decisions.
