Job Title: Qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician

We are working closely with a Local Authority in London to assist with the appointment of a Qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To identify and report to colleagues any bodies that require attention from other RBG colleagues or external organizations for disposal.
  • To participate fully in staff training to ensure adequate understanding of relevant statutory legislation, industry-related codes of practice, guiding principles, and PRaD scheme requirements.
  • To assist in the preparation and restoration of bodies, attend call-outs as required, and participate in special and defense post-mortem examinations.
  • To maintain the cleaning and sterilization of post-mortem rooms, instruments, apparatus, and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • To perform periodic checks of mechanical equipment and make recommendations for maintenance and safety.
Requirements:
  • Availability to work immediately or at short notice.
  • Right to work in the U.K.
