Job Title: Project Manager - Delivery Lead

Location: Barrow

Salary: £56,000+ depending on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputising for Senior Project Manager and main liaison with the customer and senior stakeholders
  • Managing respective teams, including development
  • Route of escalation for dependencies impacting assigned yards
  • Prioritising and delegating workload for assigned yards
  • Ensuring process adherence and driving continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Defence Project Management experience, preferably shipbuilding
  • Solid history of leadership and line management experience
  • Experience of operating in a commercial environment
  • Experience managing complex projects and multiple deliverables
  • Experience managing stakeholders in multifunctional teams

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of summarising complex data and delivering reports
  • Experience of leading product readiness reviews and handover reviews

About the Role:

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a multi-functional team and have a meaningful impact on delivering key elements of the Dreadnought Submarine.

This role will also allow you to set up a successful lasting career with BAE Systems.
