Why Rolls-Royce?
We're seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Production Support Team at Rolls-Royce Submarines. As a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy's nuclear submarine fleet, we're committed to delivering high-quality products on time.
Our Manufacturing Engineers play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time requirements. You'll work within a manufacturing cell, applying manufacturing process controls and ensuring products conform to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a manufacturing cell, ensuring application of manufacturing process controls within the area of accountability.
- Fundamental knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA to influence Product definition / final form manufacture.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes are followed so that our products conform to their specification. Rigorously raise, investigate and resolve quality and product safety-related issues.
- Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required.
Requirements:
- Experience in fabrications, valves, complex assemblies, and machining of critical classified components.
- A degree, or equivalent, in an engineering or related technical discipline with previous experience in manufacturing engineering and/or process engineering. To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold UK nationality.
