**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Embedded Manufacturing team at our client site in Derby. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the production team, designing and developing production processes, and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing operation.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Analyze current manufacturing processes and design new ones to improve efficiency and reduce costs
* Provide technical support during production issues and develop quality control procedures to meet industry and customer standards
* Design new tools and equipment for better manufacturing and conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new processes
* Monitor production data, identify improvements, and boost productivity while ensuring compliance with industry and nuclear safety regulations

**Requirements**

* Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field
* 3+ years in manufacturing engineering within the nuclear industry
* Strong knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to design new processes and tools and experience with Lean and Six Sigma
* Strong project management skills and ability to work in a team environment
