Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex procurement projects within local government or the public sector.
  • Strong background in FM, transport, and infrastructure procurement, with additional experience in social care and public health procurement highly valuable.
  • Experience leading and developing small teams in a procurement environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices in the public sector.

About the Role:

  • Lead and mentor a small team in delivering complex, high-value procurements.
  • Support the development of procurement tools and team guidance, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Oversee procurement activities within the Economy, Environment, and Infrastructure portfolio, ensuring effective delivery across facilities management, transport, and infrastructure projects.
  • Engage in the planning and implementation of the Procurement Annual Plan (PA23), aligning with the authority's strategic objectives.
