Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Randstad. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs and autism in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with autism and complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, ensuring the students' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Implement tailored educational activities and interventions, working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Manage challenging behavior, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies to promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on students' progress and collaborating to develop personalized support plans.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with autism and complex needs.
  • SEN Teaching Assistant experience, with a strong understanding of special education principles and practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and eligibility to work in the UK.
