About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to create engaging and stimulating lessons that spark student curiosity. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being among students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in special education.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of educational principles and best practices.
- Desired experience working with students with Autism and SEMH.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a related role is welcome, but a passion for teaching and a commitment to student growth are essential.
- Candidates with a driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred.
