About the Role

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Critical Care team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the assessment of care needs and the delivery of planned care under the delegation and direction of the registered nurse or Nurse Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording and documenting physiological observations and changes to the patient's clinical condition
  • Supporting therapy and rehab practices
  • Undertaking vena-puncture
  • Working within the boundaries of your role and individual competence
  • Completing the CC3N National Competency Framework for Healthcare Support workers in an Adult Critical Care
  • Responsibility for stocks and stores

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within the acute setting
  • Compassion, emotional intellect, and maturity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
