About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at Practice Plus Group, a Good rated, modern, purpose-built Hospital. As part of our professional, friendly, and compassionate team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as an advocate for patients in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the perioperative phase.
  • Develop and execute procedures for ordering, receiving, and transferring blood and blood products, as well as blood conservation.
  • Work collaboratively with a friendly, welcoming, and expert multidisciplinary Theatre Team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Part 1 registered NMC Nurse or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner with experience in Scrub or Anaesthetics.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current research and developments in theatre practice, with a sound understanding of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department.
  • Ability to ensure the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment.
