Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with a primary school in Rotherham. The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis with a student in Year 3 who requires additional support due to complex needs.

The role involves supporting the student in the classroom and working independently in specialist areas, such as sensory circuits. It is essential that you have experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs and possess a calm and empathetic personality.

In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child and potentially secure a permanent position after 12 weeks.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or adults with SEN (at least 3 months in the last 2 years)
  • TeamTeach qualification beneficial

  • Ability to work under the direction of the class teacher and use your own initiative
