Hospitality and Catering Team Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Hospitality and Catering Team Lead to join our team at Serco Limited. As a vital part of our hospitality and catering operations, you will oversee the delivery of catering services, supervise kitchen workers, and maintain food safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the hospitality and catering team in delivering high-quality catering services and maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement varied and healthy menus for residents, including special diets and events.
  • Maintain food security and safety throughout the supply chain, storage, and distribution processes.
  • Ensure accurate recording and documentation of relevant paperwork for food hygiene regulations and health and safety.
  • Deliver training and supervision to kitchen staff to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on serveries before, during, and after meal times.
  • Respond effectively to customer complaints and emerging trends with a cohesive approach.
  • Work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends as operationally required.
  • Support resident movements and searches to and from the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior hospitality and catering role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Candidates must hold a recognized qualification in food preparation and production, such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ.
  • Demonstrated expertise in food safety, including HACCP awareness.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including residents, staff, and external stakeholders.
