Job Summary

This is an entry-level position that offers a unique opportunity to develop a career in pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Services Assistant In Training, you will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various professionals to perform a range of tasks while adhering to strict deadlines.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working across multiple sites, including Aseptic Units (LGI and SJUH)
  • Collaborating with different professions to perform various tasks
  • Receiving and processing consignments from suppliers
  • Carrying out routine stock control procedures
  • Performing clerical tasks, including data entry and order processing
  • Participating in regular stock-takes and contributing to the ward and department medicines top-up service
  • Picking and packing orders for distribution, under supervision
  • Maintaining work areas and adhering to good housekeeping procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Maths and English Level 1 or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures/Ability to interpret written instructions
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
What We Offer

As a Pharmacy Services Assistant In Training, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. You will receive training and support to complete a GPhC accredited Level 2 qualification, and upon completion, the role will be made permanent.
