Key Responsibilities

As a Locks and Bridges Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs works to the waterway infrastructure, including locks, bridges, and aqueducts.
  • Using carpentry expertise to manufacture and refurbish lock gates and associated equipment.
  • Operating various machinery, plant, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Undertaking general housekeeping of personal equipment, workshop equipment, and workspace.

In addition, you will provide timely responses to customer queries and requirements, including emergencies, and ensure all equipment is appropriate for the task at hand.
