Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Tower Hamlets. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized support to students, assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. You will work closely with teachers to ensure that all students receive the highest quality education and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and small-group support to students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs to ensure that students receive tailored support.
  • Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills through targeted interventions and activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents to ensure that students are meeting their learning objectives.
  • Support classroom management and positive behavior strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children is essential.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers and other support staff.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education is a plus.
