Primary Care Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at Pontypool Medical Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and experience in primary care. The successful candidate will work autonomously, diagnosing, managing, prescribing, and discharging patients with illness or injury across all age groups.
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting 10-minute consultations x 15 slots morning and 15 slots afternoon
- Sharing of home visits
- Managing acute presentations
- Managing chronic conditions
- Ordering appropriate investigations (bloods/radiology)
- Filing pathology results
- Seeing all age groups
- No restrictions on prescribing
- Seeing pregnant women for non-pregnancy related issues
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Masters degree OR Post graduate diploma or degree for Advanced Practice Qualification OR RCN accreditation Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber
- Meets the standards for registered ANP working at advanced level Minor illness qualification
