Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Renewi, a leading waste-to-product company. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day control of our Waste Treatment facility, ensuring the safety, compliance, and commercial viability of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and support a culture of safety excellence
  • Coordinate and collaborate with operational colleagues to oversee the technical and process requirements of the facility
  • Set control limits and charts for key performance parameters and ensure they are met
  • Ensure the quality of plant outputs
  • Provide solutions to technical variances, including root cause analysis and fault finding
  • Daily analysis of plant data to determine optimal operational setup
  • Develop, own, and manage a process management system for the facility
  • Develop training and induction material for new and existing colleagues
  • Train, coach, and develop site staff in all aspects of plant performance
  • Regular reporting of plant performance
  • Identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities
  • Management and assessment of all process changes made to the plant

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, guide, and mentor the onsite team
  • Great communication skills with the ability to clearly express technical and engineering matters
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Well-organized and logical thinker
  • Numerate and appreciate the importance of accurate operational data collection and analysis
  • Honest, reliable, and always behave with integrity
  • Degree educated in chemical or process engineering and working towards chartered status
  • 3-5 years of experience in a front-line operational role as a process or chemical engineer
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies and experience with their application within a process/operational plant environment
