About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our client's team in Leeds. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for driving improvement initiatives in process safety, sustainability, reliability, and capital projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to foster a safety-first culture and drive continuous improvement in Health and Safety, Environmental, and Process Safety functions.
  • Utilize industry best practices to lead Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) activities for plant performance deviations.
  • Guide and support teams throughout the entire process, from diagnosis through resolution.
  • Oversee process design and specification for process equipment, instrumentation, and control functions.
  • Offer technical oversight and input on site Operations procedures.
  • Take ownership of the site's annual maintenance turnaround, ensuring activities are managed safely and to required standards.
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Safety & Environmental standards, Process Safety Management (PSM), and behavioral-based safety.
  • Experience in an operating chemical manufacturing facility is desirable.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with processes involving hazardous materials is beneficial.
  • Membership in a relevant professional organization is preferred.
