Job Description

Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our Clinical Engineering Team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support to our medical equipment and devices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for medical equipment and devices
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of medical equipment
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of clinical engineering services
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians and other stakeholders to ensure effective use of medical equipment
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in Engineering (medical or biomedical engineering)
  • Knowledge of medical devices and ability to identify medical devices
  • Registration as Clinical Technologist (desirable)

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic servicing, electro-mechanical and computer systems
  • General knowledge of computer systems
  • Practical experience in Medical engineering

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
