PMLD Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PMLD Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a PMLD Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of PMLD students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach.
  • Provide individualized support to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful student experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in PMLD education and implement innovative strategies to enhance student outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Overseas criminal clearance or willingness to apply.
  • Child enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
  • Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children.
  • Minimum of three months UK residency.
  • We do not accept those on skilled worker visas.
  • Must hold a Qualified Teacher Status in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent in the future.
