Job Overview:

We are recruiting a Principal Sustainability Director to join our Environmental Planning team. As a senior member of the team, you will provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, while also contributing to the development and delivery of environmental plans for our clients.

Key responsibilities include leading on the coordination and delivery of planning/environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams, strong business development, and raising awareness of our services.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading environmental management and consenting aspects of projects, particularly in the Design and Build Sector, and will be experienced in working with Contractors and influencing sustainability through design.

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.

You will be working on a diverse range of projects including large-scale energy and infrastructure, rail, highways, water and mixed-use development schemes, public realm and masterplanning projects, and small-scale projects that require a nimble and agile approach.

  1. Developing and implementing environmental plans that meet client needs and expectations.
  2. Providing expert advice on environmental and consenting matters to junior staff members.
  3. Maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:

Excellent working knowledge of the environmental and consenting process, from EIA practices and procedures, including case law, and a solid understanding of environmental and sustainability principles and environmental technical specialisms.

Commercial expertise, including forecasting, project management, and quality assurance.

A flexible, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to work.
